Bee heaven

There are so many bees crowding this wattle in a daughter’s garden that their buzzing almost rivals the noise of the planes overhead (she lives under the flight path).

When I complain that my garden has hardly any bees, she says it’s because I don’t grow enough flowers. I tend to blame the global use of pesticides but when I see her backyard bonanza, I have to admit she is probably right.
