Winter friend
Most of the year, my old crab claw cactus (Schlumbergera truncata) sits outside on the “hospital” shelf, but as soon as the buds start to redden, in I trundle it and before long it produces a steady flow of the same colourful flowers that cheered us up in the bleakest months last year.
